Injection molding
We have in total around 100 injection molding machines in the range from 1 to 500 ton clamp force, divided on our 2 manufacturing sites China and Norway.
A majority of the machines are similar and from Engel, both in China and Norway. This provides us with similar machine interface, enabling ease of tool transfer and production between our manufacturing sites.
Most our machines are equipped robots enabling precision part take out and the possibility of automated press side secondary operations.
Our molding competences and capabilities include:
- 1K & 2K molding
- Insert molding
- Transfer molding
- Vertical molding
- Ultra thin molding (> 0.2mm wall thickness)
We have the experience and knowledge of running a wide range of thermoplastic materials like PE, PP, PC, ABS, PC/ABS, PA, PEEK, TPE, TPU, etc..in filled or non-filled grades.
Project management
Our project managers are ready to lead and manage our part of your project from start to finish. Our project managers are based at our plants close to the activities and the project team. We also have the possibility to help and support the project from the European time zone when production is planned for our Chinese plant. We have a wide range of project management experience from various demanding markets segment such as automotive and mobile phones.
We are used to project manage everything from a single mould/part to large system project with large amount of molded parts, sourced components, decoration and assembly.
We will involve a project manager and a project team already in quoting phase so when we win the project and formally assign the project manager and project team then they are already familiar with the project.
Tool manufacturing
We design tools in 3D using the software Unigraphics v. NX 12. Our skilled and experienced tool designers make us a great partner for designing tools, enabling our customers to reach even their most complex products designs.
Our tool shop is equipped with 3 and 5 axes machining center for turning and milling, EDM and WEDM.
All machines are of well-known, high quality brands and operated by skilled workforce. This enable us to make very high quality tools. We are working with tolerances down to 0,002-0,003mm.
Clean room
We have a number of injection molding machines equipped for clean room production as well as clean rooms for manual and automated assemblies.
We especially grow in the area of 2K molding in a clean room environment.
IV also take part in the design process as well as the process of developing the right production equipment for each unique project.
Our clean rooms are validated according to standard 14644-1
Assembly
We have the capability to do assembly work in all of our 3 manufacturing sites. In Norway the assembly work is mostly fully automated.
Here we also have large automation cells with 6-axis robots that perform multiple assemblies in one cycle.
Ultrasonic welding, heat staking, gluing, PSA, etc.. are some commonly used assembly methods that we have extensive experience and knowledge of.
Product development support
We offers product development support close to our customer development sites.We see the product development phase as the most critical for a successful production ramp up and continuous mass production with high output and good quality.
We see great value for the customer to involve us early on in their product development. The earlier the better. We can with our long experience and knowledge from mould making and injection moulding help develop a product the will perform better.
The more we learn upfront about the product and requirements around the product the better we can support in finding optimal material choices and product design. It’s our experience that this will give our customers the most cost competitive solution.
